With a maximum speed limited to 302 km/h, the new BMW M3 CS will be produced in a limited edition at BMW’s Munich plant, in Germany, beginning next March.
Developed according to the “less weight, more power” motto, it is lighter than the Competition version. With a xDrive all-wheel drive system, the new German brand’s sporty model carries the 6-cylinder on-line TwinPower Turbo engine based on the M4 GT3 that has recently won the Dubai 24 Hour race. It had the two turbines pressure increased to achieve 550 cv and 650 Nm.
The M3 CS has an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. Lighter, thanks to diverse CFRP (carbon-fiber reinforced plastic) components, the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and needs 11.1 seconds to reach 200 km/h from start.
