Fenabrave expects a first quarter pushed by haulers' searching for Proconve P7 vehicles in stock

As frequently happens in the heavy vehicle segment, the year began with a smaller demand than the last December. Truck sales in January fell by 15% compared to December, from 12 thousand to 10.2 thousand units, while bus sales receded by 19.7%, from 2.6 thousand to 2.1 thousand.
Compared to January last year, the volume of registers had expressive increases. In the cargo haul segment, sales grew 20%, and in buses, 61.3%.
Despite considering the falls, Fenabrave’s president, Andretta Jr., foresees a promising scenario in the first three months of the year. “The technology changes caused by Proconve P8 can increase the demand for models adequate to the previous norm (Proconve P7), which can be licensed until March.”
In the bus segment, the executive considers that the performance is still positive after the recovery at the end of 2022. “January already registered a higher volume than the previous year’s monthly average, indicating a good chance of a new year of growth.”
