The first electric Ram pickup had its name unveiled this Thursday, 2/9, at the Chicago Autoshow, in the USA. The vehicle will be manufactured only in 2024. The name is 1500 REV, and the manufacturer promised more information this weekend.

“We started a revolution at Ram last year when we invited consumers to the beginning of our electrification journey, gathering their commentaries about what they expected from an electric pickup”, told the CEO Mike Koval Jr. He said the new Ram 1500 REV will reflect exactly what the customer expects from this kind of model.

With sales climbing in Brazil, the American brand promises to expand its lineup here this year with one more imported premium model but does not reveal the launch date or details of the product. This week the company released a note saying it started 2023 at the same positive pace as the second half of 2022.

Last year, the brand grew 83% in Brazil, the highest growth index in the market. With 593 registers in January, the brand kept the over-500 units level for the seventh consecutive month.

Ram was the third bestselling premium brand in Brazil since the beginning of the year. Its sales grew 132.5% compared with January 2022. The Ram 3500, the brand’s most expensive model, had 270 units delivered and achieved second place among premium models.
