Mexico is one of the countries that received more missions of Sindipeças, the association of Brazilian autoparts manufacturers, as part of the Brasil Auto Parts-Trusted Partners program developed jointly with Apex-Brasil, Agência Brasileira de Exportações e Investimentos. It is one of the main purchasers of autoparts made in Brazil, with 9.8% of the total.

Argentina is the main market for the Brazilian parts industry, with R$ 1.64 billion this year, 20.8% more than in 2022. Its share reaches expressive 36.3%. Third in the ranking is the United States, with 15.1% and purchases of US$ 685.3 million, a 12.3% increase over last year.

German is the fourth top buyer, with US$ 342.6 million and 7.6%. The fifth one is Colombia, which bought 32% more this year – US$ 183.8 million and a 4.1% share.

The Brazilian autoparts industry exported US$ 4.5 billion in the first half of this year, a 19.1% growth over 2022. On the other direction, imports reached US$ 9.6 billion through June, with a slight 1.1% fall from last year’s figures.

“The autoparts industry commercial balance is still negative and was lower than in 2022 in June (-1.4%) and the first semester (-14.2%)”, informed Sindipeças in its commercial balance report, which indicates a US$ 5 billion deficit in the first six months.

The United States is the second foreign parts supplier, with US$ 1.18 billion and 12.4%, and Germany is fourth, with US$ 980.8 million and 10%.
