One more brand had to surrender to the growing cheaper models competition. This Tuesday, 10/17, Peugeot announced the reduction of the e-2008 price.

The compact SUV, whose suggested price was R$ 219,990.00, can be purchased now for R$ 199,990.00 if the customer offers a semi-new vehicle of any brand and model as part of the deal.

The reduction is smaller if the purchaser chooses to buy online, without offering a vehicle as part of the pay. In this case, the electric will cost R$ 209.990,00.

Nonetheless, Peugeot does not mention a price reduction. It says the new values are part of “a limited-time offer”.

The reason for such an offer is the same that motivated other brands that recently reduced the price of their electric and hybrid models: to increase the products’ competitiveness.

It really means a reduction of the over-price charged on the electric entry models such as the BYD Dolphin and GWM Ora, which cost from R$ 150 thousand.

“This important offer is part of the brand’s aggressive commercial plan to push this model’s sales in the country”, said Peugeot in an official note.

Peugeot electrified models can be purchased through the e-Center net constituted by dealers with trained sales and post-sales departments equipped to assist the segment customers and products.

According to the French brand, it will have 35 points around the country by the end of the year, especially in large cities and state capitals.
